Orphaned and outcasted, Esme Hamada's first year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry was certainly one she would never forget....
Every girl at Madame Badeaux's Home for Wayward Girls had a story. In the heart of Troyes, a medieval town in France, people called the orphanage "well preserved" but it was basically an asbestus infested rubbish bin; multiple girls would get sick every week, but the sisters claimed that said sickness was "the sin expelling from their bodies." Regardless of the unliveable environment and archaic definitions of punishment, Esme liked to think that she thrived anyway. That is, if thriving was being targeted by nuns and punished more than any other kid in the retched place due to your frequent 'night terrors'.
The day Albus Dumbledore came to retrieve Esme, she was ten years old with a thick accent and too many scars to count. He explained that he was a Headmaster of a school (conveniently leaving out the magical part) and that she was eligible to attend because of her mother.
He had told her that her journey was just beginning.
Understatement of the fucking century.

Running Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, along with the help of Angelina and Lee, has taken a toll on his life. Well, at least that's what his mother tells him whenever she sees him; seriously, once Molly Weasley has her grieving son in her sights, it's bound to end in a lecture.
In a gracious effort to avoid this, it may have accidentally slipped out that he had a date that he couldn't wait to introduce to everyone come time for his sisters wedding.
So when Angelina proposes that he ask the tiny woman who owns the bookstore across from him, how, in his desperation, could he ever decline?

Summary
If someone had asked Regulus Black what his biggest regret was, he would be caught between letting Sirius leave him behind in Grimmauld Place or becoming a member of a fanatical pureblood supremacist cult.
He had thought perhaps one day he could fix all of the words unsaid and apologies not yet given. But walking into a cave and drowning put a damper on that.
Until fate aligns and he finds himself back in 1975, the night that Sirius had run away and been blasted off the tapestry by Regulus' own wand. The night when everything had begun to tear at the seams, when Walburga and Orion Black had sold the spare to the Cause, a poor replacement for what the Dark Lord had been promised.
Regulus has to decide if he's willing to regret losing his brother all over again or else draw the wrath of both the Death Eaters and the House of Black.
