Summary
Leading a group of seven grown men with the collective brain cells of a potato had always been an uphill battle. Sharing a dorm with them? That was how Kim Hongjoong discovered the true meaning of chaos, despair, and existential crisis usually all before breakfast.
There were days he questioned everything: his career, his sanity, and the mysterious glitter that kept reappearing no matter how many times he vacuumed. But it was too late for regrets. He was the captain of this ship and it was one that regularly caught fire, figuratively and, on at least two occasions, literally.
And thus, out of necessity (and emotional self-defense), the ATEEZ Dorm Rules were born. Not as guidelines for peace, but as desperate attempts to prevent another kitchen explosion, emotional meltdown, or unplanned group TikTok at 2 a.m.
History would call them rules.
Hongjoong called them survival tactics.

Now, two years after the war, he had four children depending on him. Orphans, like him, abandoned by a world that wanted to forget. Their parents were executed, just like his. And whether he was ready or not, it was up to Draco to keep them safe.

Draco Malfoy was missing.
Well, not missing missing. Everyone knew exactly where he was. The problem was that he wasn’t at Hogwarts, where he belonged… where Harry could keep an eye on him, argue with him, and generally make sure he wasn’t up to something nefarious.
Instead, Malfoy had defected (Harry’s word, not McGonagall’s) to Durmstrang. And he’d taken his little entourage — Parkinson, Zabini, and Nott — with him.
To say that Harry was not handling it well would be an understatement.
“Mate,” Ron said slowly, watching as Harry furiously scribbled his eighth letter to Malfoy. “Are you sure you’re not… y’know… developing a bit of an unhealthy attachment?”

Draco Malfoy had long since come to terms with the fact that life was unfair.
He had come to terms with it when, at the tender age of one, his dear Aunt Bellatrix had given him a gift — which turned out to be a colorblindness curse, because she thought it would be “funny” for him to see the world the way she did.
He had come to terms with it when his father dismissed his lack of color vision as “an excellent way to focus on more important things than frivolous aesthetics” (a statement which Lucius would later contradict by being absolutely livid when Draco failed to coordinate his dress robes properly for an important gala).
And he had especially come to terms with it when, time and time again, he heard people wax poetic about Potter’s brilliant green eyes — which, as far as Draco could tell, were just as gray as everything else.
Seriously, what was the big deal?
But life, as he knew, was unfair. Which was why, in his Eighth Year at Hogwarts, surrounded by former enemies who had somehow turned into friends (a whole other mess he was still figuring out), his deepest, most humiliating secret was about to be exposed.
And it was going to be Ron Weasley’s fault.
