Even after their last encounter ended so badly, Crowley can’t help but smile when he sees Aziraphale Fell. The man is adorably windswept right now, his cheeks pink and his curls flying around his head in every direction. He keeps tugging on the hem of his t-shirt and frowning as though he doesn’t know what to do with this overly casual garment, as though he wishes he was in his usual waistcoat and bowtie ensemble. The bookseller is carrying a sign, but he’s holding it down by his side. Crowley can’t read what it says but he bets it’s something along the lines of ANTHONY J. CROWLEY IS A WANKER or FUCK OFF ANTHONY AND STOP MOONING AFTER ME.
“You’re staring,” Beez growls into Crowley’s ear. “Isn’t that the bookseller you were arguing with at Gabriel Archer’s thing? Are you enemies with benefits or something? Hate-fucking between skirmishes?”
