    The mech was more of a home than his own apartment. In a lot of ways it was. More decorated, customized, cared for, lived in. Even when he's ok, Robert still finds more comfort in the mech than he does in the people and places around him. Maybe Flambae can change that?

    Or: the events of Dispatch told through the lens of Robert having a safe space inside the Mecha Man suit!

She was long dead by the time Robbie got comfortable enough with the Brave Brigade to break with secrecy and allow more ancillary members to meet his young son—a bright but sullen child.     Shroud can see that boy still, buried in the shouting, snarling, wiry young man that Komodo slams spine-first on the pool table. Shroud can see something of Robbie in how Robert yells until his lungs are empty, something in how his face contorts when he screams. He fights tooth and nail the entire time as they pull his shirt open.]
