Summary

While fleeing the Zen’in clan, Suguru takes up shelter in the shadow of an abandoned shrine, deep within forests said to crawl with all manner of monster. Soon enough, he finds himself with a strange, nightly companion: a great white wolf as liable to devour him as protect him.

So he drags himself to Zenos' side and collapses on top of his chest. One small comfort in what Meteor assumes to be their final moments. At least, until he wakes up in Old Sharlayan some time later to find that he was not the only one who made it home.
