Summary
Planet was human. Empathy was his lover, loneliness his nightmare, and guilt his enemy. From the depths of his bones to the corner of his eyes, he could spill tears.
But Planet was more than just human. He was mortal. Like everyone, he could bleed, a reminder of his imminent death for all he knows. Death was the graceful ending to all stories. Although stuck in their arrogance, some have dared to defy their very mortality. Some achieved the mere ankles of the Gods, reached for many’s dream - immortality, a gorgeous but deceptive mistress.
Ash and Spoke, to name a few, have sensed the soft buzz inside of them, have felt the power pound at the rhythm of their heart like a plea to destroy. Now, within them only resides the fading hum of memories.
Planet, too, naively so, wanted power. Immortality eventually struck him as the solution to his pains.
And when a God answers his call, he understands just how stupid he was to believe the pain stabbing through him was worth the shine of power he held.
