“D-Dennis,” Mac starts stammering, loudly, as if they aren’t the only two people in the room. “You’re home early! What happened to your date?”
Dennis doesn’t answer immediately, casting another appraising glance over Mac. He's still clutching the pillow to himself in earnest, but it’s shifting incrementally lower, like he’s slowly realizing how little it’s actually covering. Unfortunately for him, every fraction of additional coverage for his bulge only exposes an equivalent slice of cleavage. Now, normally, Dennis wouldn’t refer to that area as cleavage on him—wouldn’t even dream of it. Given the circumstance, however, it seems more than warranted.

Summary
He doesn't regret shooting him. Hanazawa was insufferable. The brief movement of peace that encapsulated his body after he shot him was worth it. Now though, the sharpshooter can't help but reconsider his options.
Usami kept close from the beginning. Lingering glances, bright smiles, and wandering hands. The moment they locked eyes in the Battle of Port Arthur, Usami smiled proudly back as Ogata took the opportunity to strike. That smile that day haunted him. Panic runs rampant in Ogata’s head as he watches Usami laugh to himself, staring at him, gun to his side, as the Russo-Japanese War raged on.
The eyeliner-clad man stayed near his side during all excursions. Hands reaching for Ogata's shoulder, whispering haunting advice and demented desires, thrusting to gauge a reaction. His body always paused before, calculating if it was worth it to refuse. The others would watch on, and others were obvious as the tattooed mouthed man pulled Ogata away from the division to indulge in whatever Usami wanted.
Ogata didn't refrain again after the first night.

Summary
The sergeant narrows his eyes after examining the sniper’s face. Familiarity and estrangement go hand-in-hand in his case—he knows Ogata more intimately than he’d like to admit, and, simultaneously, they aren’t close to each other at all. But that's not a surprise—betrayal does that.

Summary
All of the lieutenant's dogs are trained in similar fashion—tempted, rewarded, and then put in their place, rinse and repeat. A stray like Ogata Hyakunosuke, however, needs a firmer touch, a more appealing treat. Cats won't settle for less, and that much, Tsurumi has learned.
