    Summary

When Colin Bridgerton escapes London's unforgiving February winter, he finds himself in the middle of a celebration no one ever thought to tell him about. There is music in every street, food he can't pronounce, drinks he's never heard of, dancing he can't quite master—and her.

The fiery redhead who captures his attention from the moment they meet. She is sharp-witted and impossible to ignore, teaching him that sometimes the best parts of life aren't planned at all. Through shared meals, late-night conversations, aguardiente shots, and the vibrant chaos of El Carnaval de Barranquilla, Colin begins to believe that some people arrive exactly when they're meant to.

In a city bursting with colour, rhythm, and joy, Colin Bridgerton may finally find the one thing he never expected to bring home with him.

    Or

Colin is British and can't dance, and Penelope is Colombian and definitely can.

    Summary

    “Colin?"

    “Yeah, sweeth– Pen?"

She laughs at his slip of tongue, wanting to make a crack at how she's not so sweet after how she asked him to pound into her until she was sore—but she knows her laugh is masking how she truly feels. The rules are to protect her, because Penelope knows this will never last, not in the long run. Colin's never resented them, or if he does, he hides it well.

“Have you heard of subspace?” Penelope finally blurts out.

Penelope and Colin are friends with increasingly frequent benefits. One day, she asks him if he'll get her to subspace.

    As a friend.

    Summary

"Col, could you give me a hand?" Penelope looked up from her place in the sand, handing the tube of sunscreen toward him.

"Sure, baby," Colin said reflexively, initially confused by the alarmed eye-widening of his already freckling girlfriend. His cheeks burned, whispering a soft sorry as he looked around them to see if anyone was paying the pair any mind. Though it would come as a relief to Penelope, Colin was somewhat disappointed no one heard. She was his baby. It would do others good to know.

    But alas, patience.

    Summary

Colin discards his spectacles, tossing them on the desk. “My cheese has arrived.”
    It is not a question.
“Finally.” He rises, scraping his chair against the floorboards in his haste.
For a brief, glorious moment, everything aligns. The ledgers, the responsibilities, the endless expectations, all of it seems bearable. Easy, even.
But Nicolas hesitates, and Colin’s bud of hope goes dormant.
Seemingly transfixed by a knot of wood in the floor, Nicolas clears his throat. “I’m afraid, sir, there is a difficulty.”

When Colin’s long-awaited, much-anticipated delivery of cheese from the Continent sinks into the Strait of Dover, he is, predictably, devastated. Crying, mourning, and committed to wearing black for a fortnight in suitably dramatic fashion. If only his wife, who cannot tell the difference between Cheddar and Mozzarella, were available to comfort him.
