    Summary

She knows everything is wrong immediately. It is the same, but also different - very different. Magic licks across her skin more freely, like flames of a wildfire in high summer and the weight of it in her lungs burns with the same visceral physical heat. Her side aches. Her head does too. And he is standing there, hovering over her, the same but not the same - different, and young.

You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.

Very loosely inspired by The Wolf and the Fox fairytale

    Summary

Every story’s got an ending. This one just came a little earlier than I’d planned.

Rook wonders if Solas feels the same way as the Dread Wolf’s closes — as his new one with Ellana Lavellan cracks open to its first page.

It was a good ending — a poetic ending — the Inquisitor taming an impossibly ancient grief to walk hand in hand with her lover into the Fade.

Forever bound together; forever sharing the love they’d built between them — unshakable and iron willed and impossible to break in spite of the decade that hung between their last meeting and the flare of green that accompanies their dematerialization.

It was nice, and it was peaceful, and Rook has been left standing in the ashes of a blighted Minrathous — broken, bleeding, and bitter.

In the moments following the defeat of Elgar'nan and the redemption of the Dread Wolf, Rook is dragged into another unwanted, unpredictable magical shit show. After being given a vague order and an even vaguer plan, he's thrown into the past — much further than anticipated.

A time travel fix-it fic written by an author obsessed with dashes and italics.

    Summary

“The Veil…” Solas murmured, as if he couldn’t begin to finish.

Rook laughed into the ground, bruised and breathless.

“Oh Solas,” he said, pushing up, “you should never have married me.”

Or: Solas tries an alternate method of manipulating Rook. It does not go to plan.

    Summary

    SPOILERS FOR DAI/DATV

Her mind will have to do, for now, despite how it feels filled with destructive runes and traps waiting to be set. Ever since Varric, the one from then, and again in this new present of hers, it’s hard to differentiate that it’s all... real.

She knows it is, logically, but her heart?

    It’s difficult.

"Nuva lasa su ma enaste" May it give you grace.

She got her happy ending, even if it wasn't the one most would have wanted. Travelling the Fade for an untold amount of time, learning the secrets housed within each wonder, connecting with the history of her people beyond the terror of their ancestors. Dying at the end of the world doesn't sound half-bad after all she's done.

Poetic, in some way. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with that sentiment.

She should have stayed in Minrathous.

And now she's an unknown amount of time in the past, with wild magic sparking in her palm and a world actually drowning in demons.

    Summary

Varric Tethras found an outsider with a resume that might make the Dread Wolf listen, before Thedas pays for his choices. Again. This Rook is no mage, no Dalish, and no one’s idea of a savior.

A slow burn romance that asks if one person can truly save a world.

Multi-fandom crossover elements, but familiarity isn’t required. Setting is Dragon Age, Thedas.

78 chapters, complete. I’ve gone through so many drafts over the last 16 months I can recite whole sections.
