Or: Before surprisingly presenting as a wolf, Jungkook had been content with his life as a normal human, blissfully ignorant of everything wolf-related. There are many things he could’ve lived without knowing. Like the knotting thing. Or worse, that Park fucking Jimin, his work partner and the literal bane of his existence, happens to have the most delicious scent of all.

Summary
Jimin is 27 and he can hear the clock ticking as he races toward that elusive goal every professional tennis player hopes to achieve--a Grand Slam. He may be second seed and near flawless on grass and hard courts, but he's yet to win on the clay of Roland Garros. It's a fact sports journalists love to bring up.
Jungkook is perfectly happy as a starting blue-liner for the Providence Hope. He's not so thrilled about being such a public figure, never knowing who he can trust, hating any attention not focused on his game play and the Hope's chances for the Stanley Cup.
And of course, they meet on New Year's Eve through mutual friends, talk for hours, and kiss at midnight. It's too good to be true and they both know it. Schedules and distance are just part of the problem. It can never be just about the game. Not when they are each one of the few out-and-proud athletes in their respective sports. Not if they can't block out the chatter and the commentary. The only answer is to respond the way they know how--playing a hell of a game.
