Summary
A 14.13 Lebanon rewrite. When Dean uses a wish-granting pearl to try and kill the archangel Michael before he can escape the cage in Dean's head, they instead wind up with a newly-resurrected John Winchester.
It's been more than a decade since John died, and a lot has changed: Mary is alive, Sam and Dean have what passes for a proper home in the Men of Letters Bunker, and they're living with angels. John doesn't know angels are real, he doesn't know about the fragile new relationship between Dean and Castiel, and most of all, he doesn't know that Dean said yes to Michael, or that Dean's plan to defeat Michael would send him to a fate worse than death.
Now Dean must contend with both his father asking questions he can't answer, and his loved ones learning about the darker truths of his childhood, all while constantly battling the archangel trapped inside him. But Dean coming to terms with his history may be the difference between this being the beginning of a journey—or the end.

Summary
By the time he rolled up to Sam's apartment building, it was going on two in the morning. It was only then, in that dim parking lot, that Dean thought to question coming here first at all. He could go to Jericho. He could figure out why Dad wasn’t answering. Only, a part of him was running down a list of possibilities, and he didn’t want to be alone for any of them:
Scenario one, Dad was fine, his phone had broken, which explained the shitty voicemail, and Dean would be showing up, against orders, like a fretful wife nosing into his business.
Scenario two, Dad was fine, he’d called with bad service to tell Dean to fuck off, and now he was ignoring Dean’s calls on purpose. Finally ready to cut a cord too-long indulged.
Scenario three, Dad was not fine.
----
A canon rewrite AU diverging from the events of Some Cruel Tide, in which a shifter disguised as his father used Dean's blind obedience to molest him. By the start of S1, Dean's relationship with his father is more strained, his devotion more intense, and his life consumed by the need to hide the parts of himself he is most ashamed of.

Summary
All Dean Winchester knows is repression. At no time in his life has he ever felt safe to explore his attraction to other men. He has all but convinced himself that it doesn't exist--that heterosexuality is the only option. But try to deny it as he might, Castiel's presence in the bunker is a mounting reminder that he will never be the man his father wanted him to be. He doesn't know how much longer he can keep the charade...or even if he wants to anymore.

Summary
“Jersey boys, huh?” The officer looked the five of them over before jerking his chin towards a table near the entry way. “Go on.”
As they walked away, the blonde one—they later came to know him as Bob—sighed and muttered “I’m from Chicago” under his breath.Bookmarked by dayspriing

Summary
“Maybe we should have a truce.”
Gerard laughs, a real one, and Frank feels a queasiness that he can’t attribute to anything concrete. “What are we, five? You act like we were Montagues and Capulets. It’s fine, we can try to be friends.”
“Cool.” Frank pauses. “By the way, about the call earlier – Geoff wouldn’t let me fire you. But, like, I hope that can turn out to be a good thing. As much as I hate to admit it…”
He trails off. Gerard raises his eyebrows. “Yes?”
“God, I don’t want to say it. But I guess it’s objectively true that working with you would probably make my book better.”
Gerard laughs again. “It sure as hell can’t make it worse. I did read your manuscript, it’s awful.”
“Hey, okay. I thought we called a truce.”
“For now,” Gerard says lightly.
