“No,” she shakes her head, brown locks moving against the sheets. “I mean, make me your canvas.”
Yoonchae crosses her arms. “Well, the last time I did that, you got the cherry blossom tattooed.”
Megan rolls onto her side. “I liked it too much, it was exactly my type. But I kinda want another one now.” She blinks up at Yoonchae with wide eyes, cranking her pout up to full power as she tugs at the fabric in her hand.

“You spoil me, Chae,” Megan says as a soft smile adorns her features. A quiet laugh slips from Yoonchae as her lips brush along the curve of her spine, her palms splaying across the older girl’s hips. “You’re not calling this spoiling, Mei. I like doing this for you.” She presses one last kiss to the center of the inked design. “You deserve it, baby.”
Yoonchae’s grip slightly tightens on the older girl as she turns her around. “What I don’t like, however,” she nuzzles her nose into Megan’s hair, “is that the world got to see it before I did.”
Megan laughs under her breath at that, tilting her head to brush her nose against Yoonchae’s. “Aww, are you a little jealous?” she teases her, watching closely.

“It does when it’s post-breakup Megan versus Sophia with the trophy girlfriend,” Megan grumbles.
Yoonchae looks at her unimpressed, lips pressed into a thin line.
“Please, Chae? I need to make her jealous.” Megan immediately shifts into a pout. “She will realize that Bannerman girlie isn’t what she needs, and she will come back to me. Just this once, pretty please?”
Yoonchae stares at her for another minute, and just when she is about to turn it up a notch, the younger girl sighs. “Fine, what is in it for me?”

Then, of course, I'll let you break my heart again.The concept of infinity had never really made sense to Megan. I mean how can you know it really exists, if it’s unmeasurable? Do we just trust it goes on and on? How do we know the universe is limitless if we can’t ever check?
And then there’s zero. Nothing. Can you imagine zero? Picture it? It’s impossible, much like trying to picture infinity. Impossible.
And then there’s the two together.
Infinity times nothing. It’ll always be nothing, won’t it?
Such an odd concept, one Megan never thought she’d truly grasp.
But she gets it now.

Summary
Stars, in multiple ways, remind Yoonchae of Megan. They remind her of the little star tattoo on Megan’s rib that Yoonchae—privately, selfishly—wants to feel under her hands, to know if it’ll feel any different than the rest of Megan’s skin. They remind her of that night in LA, Megan showing her all the constellations, explaining what they all meant. They remind her of being a kid, reaching out of the window of her apartment in Seoul and into the sky, thinking she could reach the stars, only to be met with disappointment when all she grabs is air. Stars, in general, remind Yoonchae of Megan—beautiful, radiant, but so far from her that she can’t even begin to hope that they’re also looking back at her.
