    That advice—about the wrist angle, the nose breathing, and rushing the third shot—was the exact advice Salvation gave him. It was something no one else could possibly know.

    He slowly turned his head.

    Din wouldn't call his life very complicated. Work was steady - there was always a need for a lighting technician in Hollywood - and his kid was great; the best in the world, probably.

    Once Luke Skywalker, an up-and-coming actor enters his life, it starts to get complicated.

    The blond stuck the cigarette between his lips, and held his hand out in a silent gesture to borrow Din's lighter. Din wasn't sure why he did it, but instead he pushed the flame back up and leaned forward to light the man's cigarette himself. His bright blue eyes and long eyelashes made Din think that if the man was a girl, he'd be beautiful. It was probably what compelled him to do it.

    The corner of the blond's mouth twitched, giving a half smile that looked like he tried to hide. He inhaled. He moved the cigarette back between his fingers.

    “I'm Luke.”

    Luke laughed. “Really Ley? You’ve seen the type of sleemos that hang out at Imperial dinners and who slither around the palace. I don’t think I’ve met any aurek that interested me even a little bit.” 

    Leia squeezed his hand. “For all that I just said I would beat mom up if he picked wrong. I trust that he’ll find the right aurek for you. I know that he’s trying to do the right thing. As much as he sometimes comes across as a hypocrite, his heart is in it, and that’s what matters, okay?” 

    Luke nodded and sighed. 

    “Do you think it will be soon?” 

    “I don’t know.” She leaned back on the window again and sighed. “Would you like me to talk to him? He probably won’t give away too much, but he might be willing to share some. He might even tell me who it is, as long as he doesn’t think knowing will hurt you.” 

    “I don’t want to know,” Luke admitted with a sigh. “I think it’s easier not knowing.” 

    She nodded. “I’m still going to ask, for my peace of mind, but I’ll tell him you don’t want to know.”
