Summary
The man- now unmistakably Eddie Munson- opened his mouth as if to say something, choosing to instead launch himself at Steve. There was a second where Steve thought he was being attacked, knocked off kilter, but then Eddie’s arms were around him, burying his face in Steve’s hair. Half-collapsing beneath the weight, Steve guided them both to the floor, pulling Eddie closer instinctively. He felt thinner than he used to, the skin of his back littered with scars.
“Eddie,” Steve murmured disbelievingly, holding him as he shook like a leaf in Steve’s arms. “You’re not dead.”
Eddie laughed, despite the trembling. He clutched onto Steve’s shirt like a lifeline.
“Yeah,” he managed, voice high and vulnerable. “Sorry to disappoint.”

Between bullying, guilt and emotions neither of them knows how to name, they slowly stop reaching for eachother.
When Troy’s cruelty goes too far and Will ends up hurt, Mike refuses to let him face it alone. What starts as concern turns into late nights, shared silences and feelings that have been buried for far too long.
or: After Mike and Will became distant Will got hurt by Troy, which leads to Mike taking care of him and them getting closer again but they soon realize they don't realy know eachother that well anymore. Something between them had changed. Things don't add up and there seems to be something going on that neither of them dares to bring up.
