She was not a believer of a sole divine being— she was far too much of a skeptic to believe in a singular power being the ruler of the world and held all power of the lives of the billions of people who inhabited the earth— but with each passing second she spent in the addicting presence of Pandora, she got closer to crushing her knees onto the ground in a bout of urgency with hands clinging onto the thin garments that decorated her body as she worshiped Pandora as the sole deity that deserved her devotion.

Joyce silently urges Will to continue, her eyebrows drawn together in concern, "But Max, she told me he's also afraid, which proves I can beat him. But for me to do that," Will clears his throat and feels his stomach violently churn, "I think you need to know the truth."
The truth.
Will's traitorous brain immediately conjures up the image of Micheal Wheeler, his best friend of 10 years.
Also the boy he's loved for 7 years.
Loving Mike, much like being around him, came natural, almost like breathing. He had realized when he was 9 years old, going to bed after an entire day spent at the Wheelers' and it suddenly dawning onto him mid yawn.
It wasn't as dazzling as the movies portrayed it.
There had been no flowers blooming at the edges of his vision and certainly no angels blowing trumpets of triumph.
There had been nothing but an all consuming fear nipping at the heels of his feet as he desperately tried to outrun his own inclination.

Summary
Remus Lupin returns to the Prestigious Hogwarts Boarding school after an terrible incident that left him scarred, both physically and emotionally. Returning cynical and unwilling, the last thing he expects to find is love and group of people who makes him feel as though he actually belongs.
Alternatively: Remus lupin manages to find people he would die for despite the horrible attitude he carries at first.
