Katie Maxwell is a young author who found success early in her life thanks to her bestselling character Elizabeth Element. After she settled into her job at Keller University outside DC, she thinks she has everything she ever wanted, friends, success, money, and a bright future. At least she thought she did until she ran into Cal Lightman at a school function. While they hit it off almost immediately, Katie quickly finds out that a relationship with Cal is harder than she expected as she finds herself trying to fit herself into his busy life of being a father and dedicated business owner. This will be a depository of all the short stories and deleted scenes from my main fic, I'll Know When You Lie (To Me). I might venture into Cal's pov now that I feel more comfortable writing. I'll try to link everything that coincides with the chapter in the book and leave a little bit in the chapter notes so nobody gets too confused. So this is my first fanfic about my oc Mira and her saving the town Zephyr with her eventual romance with Ivan. This mysterious girl seemingly bought the farm as an impulse. At least that's what the town folks believe. Mira never seems too enthusiastic about living in the small town. But will the cheerful and pleasant company of the villagers help changer her mind as she attempts to save their town with her meager farm? Or would it be just one member of the community that makes her see the potential of small town living. I can't guarentee that I'll finish. I guess it depends on whether or not I get people reading this. Anyways, feedback is welcome, try to be delicate. Furthermore, if there is any spelling errors, I don't really proof read, so there you go. Also, the rating may change, so be warned. Lastly, I don't own any characters other than my oc, Mira.

Kara is freshly promoted, completed her N7 training, and ready to take the next step in her five year plan. C-Sec Officer Garrus Vakarian has been upgraded from beat cop to actual crime investigation, and probably on the fast track to making detective whether he wants to or not. The two cannot fight their chemistry.

She learns he left for the Capitol Wasteland after receiving a letter from home, and Nora picks up immediately to go after him. He deserved the truth - she was wrong. He mattered, maybe more than anyone. But along the way, she comes across something - and someone - that changes everything.

Perhaps she’s reading too deep into it. Maybe he doesn’t feel for her the same way she feels for him. It’s possible that he truly is just that charismatic. The flirting must just come naturally to him. Doesn’t mean that he always means it as anything more than friendly banter.
The way he looks at her, though, especially when he believes she isn’t paying attention… The only word that can describe that twinkle in his eyes is longing. Desire.
