Vash spluttered, but Wolfwood shoved him out of the way. He bit the top off the little glass vial. It was frigid in his hand.
Who knew what this would do to her?
“Can’t get any deader,” he told himself quietly.
He opened Meryl’s mouth and dumped the serum down her throat.
When Meryl is hit with machine gun fire, Wolfwood turns to the only medicine he knows: his vials. Of course, Meryl is no augmented supersoldier. When the stuff leaves her the sickest he's ever seen, all that's left to do is try his best to take care of her and hope she survives.

Summary

A cool damp cloth is laid across Legato’s burning forehead and before the hand that places it can dart away, he awkwardly catches three long fingers in his shaking grasp. Vash the Stampede does not pull back. It isn’t in his nature.
“Kill me,” Legato pleads.
