Summary

Summary
'Kaiser never understood it, that man’s attachment to a flower. The care he put into it, keeping it nice and clean and preserved. So abnormal, so disturbingly gentle amidst the decay and disrepair of their house.
How could it have value when they couldn’t even sell it for money to buy groceries? How could it be precious if it never helped them pay their bills?
As Kaiser curls up under his blanket and wriggles restlessly to get comfortable, turning towards the mirror even though he knows there’s nothing there right now, he thinks he might get it.
The clinging, consuming way something can be precious to you.
Something pure and blue and innocent, encased in glass.'

Summary
“If you leave, I’ll kill you,” Isagi muttered into Kaiser’s mouth, his voice growing weaker as Kaiser continued to devour him. His grip in Kaiser’s hair tightened, tugging just enough to keep him close.
Kaiser growled like a strangled dog, his lips pulling back as he pressed his face into the crook of Isagi’s neck. The painter’s scent was intoxicating; almost-sweet wine, paint and blood. Kaiser felt himself going giddy the more he drowned himself in it.
His teeth sank into the soft skin of Isagi’s neck, biting and sucking the flesh there. “If I stay,” Kaiser hissed, teeth still plunged deep, “you’ll die.”
Isagi’s body shivered beneath him, his hands grasping at Kaiser’s shoulders but going limp as soon as they gripped. He arched, pressing into the bite as though drawn to the pain. Isagi exhales, muscles slackening as his eyes fluttered shut.
