How could Morres get out of this situation?
Morres was so tired. All he wanted to do was close his eyes and ignore his bleeding wound.
It worsened over time, but what could he do? Red wasn't there to cauterize it, and he didn't even know what had happened to him or if he was alright.
There was no water nearby to disinfect the wound, but even if there had been, he couldn't move.
His body felt heavy, like a cotton ball soaked in alcohol. He felt tears streaming down his cheeks.
There was no one he could call, and he wasn't even close to a town to get help.
Was he going to die alone?
His vision was blurring. In his last attempt to stay alive, Morres blinked sharply, trying to clear the fog from his eyes.
He started to sit up, but collapsed from the excruciating pain.
"Agh!"
he cried weakly, unable to stifle his screams and sobs.Perhaps if he had listened more closely, he would have heard the approaching barks and restless footsteps.
Morres just wanted to go home and find refuge in his father's arms.

He admired him before he got to know him.

He longed for the bright star that was shining out of his reach and hoped that he could one day go near the star even if he gets blinded in the process. He longed to one day grasp that star's hands and bring him out into the night sky where he had been the most free. He'll wait for when the dimming star regains its light once more.-----
Unaware of his silent guardian, he was alone.
He appeared out of nowhere, shining bright and lighting up the cold and dreary reality for him. He says that he's his star but to him, the one in front of him is his anchor.
Binding him to this reality, not letting him drown in the waking world where he's all alone.
He wants to make sure that this anchor doesn't break down under all the weight its carrying. If he can be their star, then he'll make sure he can at least muster up the remaining light he has to not let the other get lost.===
If it's for the other, they're willing to do and endure anything to protect their happiness.
