When the new retiree at the end of the lane asks Father John for a hand in solving a mystery around his house, it seems like a benign enough offer. Read some books, gather some intel, occasionally attend a clandestine meeting in a leaky old garden shed. Surely nothing can go too wrong.

Summary
Dick magnet and astrophysicist Anthony J. Crowley has his life all figured out: success in his field, an endless supply of meaningless one-night-stands to fulfill his sexual needs, and Aziraphale Fell – his best friend of twenty-years, only failed-hook-up-in-his-record and favourite person on every known planet – for everything else.
Sure, he’s got his Dark Days like everyone else, and he can’t say “I love you” to anyone that isn’t an animal, and sometimes he feels like there could be more to life than constantly skimming the surface of things, but all in all he’s happy with what he has.
That is until Aziraphale comes back from Scotland and announces out of the blue that he’s engaged to be married and asks Crowley to be his best man slash maid of honour.Among traitorous kilts, feral godmothers, angelic baby goats, and unnervingly perfect fiancés, the very real prospect of Aziraphale’s happiness not including him forces Crowley to reckon with some pretty hard truths he’s been ignoring all his life.

Summary
Aziraphale has wiped Crowley's mind. Well, they've altered it, at least. He now thinks he's human, living above an unknown bookshop with a ditsy owner called Muriel who he's not sure knows she's supposed to be in charge. It's only until Crowley's able to process his messy emotions without the actual memory over the whole Aziraphale leaving to become the Supreme Archangel. Once he's calmed down the way humans do, resolves his anger and sadness properly, then it will be restored and the two of them can talk about everything again.
Until then..., Aziraphale is still allowed to check in while figuring out how to stop the Second Coming on earth, right?
