Summary
Buck is definitely not jealous. He just doesn’t like Tommy. He doesn’t like how he fits into Eddie’s life so easily. He doesn’t like how he’s easy and fun and cool and exciting, and Buck is sure Eddie is going to realize it and Buck is going to be replaced and lose everything.
Instead of talking about it, Buck decides that he can be fun too. Then Eddie gets hurt and it’s all his fault. Buck will do anything to be good again so Eddie will forgive him. Even if he hurts himself doing it.
Eddie doesn’t realize until it’s too late that Buck wasn’t just acting out, he was scared. And now he’s dropping hard.

"Where's your hand?" he muttered, trying to keep calm and composed, fingers clambering down his right arm, the one that was closest and not occupied with gripping Eddie‘s jacket, with a slight, controlled franticness. "Gimme your hand."
When he finally caught it, he tugged it up and placed it against his own chest. "You feel that?" he murmured, settling his cheek against the side of his head. "Come on, Buck. Breathe with me. Just breathe."
