Summary
Ozkar Fritz-Diaz was never originally supposed to go on the trip, but when he heard that he would be getting a raise from his desk job at Pony Express, of course he took it. Growing up poor, you’ll take all the chances you can get to make some extra cash.
Curly wasn’t exactly thrilled to find out that there would be two extra people coming along on the Tulpar last minute, but he knew Ozkar was a hard worker, it was Daisuke he was worried about. Jimmy was downright pissed about having to watch over more ‘insufferable morons who would only cause trouble’. Anya was neutral on the matter, just worried about how quickly the supplies would dwindle with two extra people. Swansea, well he had to deal with Daisuke.
Nobody ever really saw Ozkar, always moving around the ship and never stayed long for a conversation. It was like he wasn’t there most of the time. And due to the fact that the Tulpar was not meant to be occupied by six people, Ozkar slept down in the cargo hold. The crew knew the bare minimum about him. Name, age, occupation.

He can hear the puppy yapping from three doors over.
Or, I felt like not enough people give Jimmy and Daisuke's relationship enough thought. So I came here to fix that.

Summary
Pony Express called it an accident.
Robyn Nusume calls it what it was—an erasure. A disappearance no one cared enough to explain. So when they offer her a position aboard The Tulpar—the very ship her sister Anya once served on, the very ship that should’ve been dismantled, scrapped, buried—Robyn accepts.

It was never meant to be like this.
Jimmy was meant to die with the cool metal of the bullet that had embedded itself in the folds of his soft, stupid human brain. It should have been the end—the final act of a man seeking some twisted sort of redemption he didn't deserve.
Blood pooled beneath his still head, the gun laying on the floor next to him. The floor was slick with red, seeping into the grooves and cracks and becoming one with the ship itself. The hallucinations, the voices, the overwhelming fear, the guilt that tore him apart in his last hours.
Every last bit of it—
Gone with Jimmy. It should have meant peace. Silence. The weight of responsibility lifted.
