I can't overstate how good this is. Best Slytherin perspective. Best story about Hogwarts under the Carrows and the realities of trying to put up a resistance. I've never been so attached to OCs. Made me laugh, made me cry. I read it almost in one go, then listened to the podfic, then read Armistice, and I'd start over and read it all over again except I've been neglecting my life. This story prompted much journaling and introspection. I feel like I know myself better because of it. It might be one of the most impactful things I've read in the last ten years.

Once upon a time, Harry Potter hid for two hours from Dudley in a chemistry classroom, while a nice graduate student explained about the scientific method and interesting facts about acids. A pebble thrown into the water causes ripples.
Contains, in no particular order: magic candymaking, Harry falling in love with a house, evil kitten Draco Malfoy, and Hermione attempting to apply logic to the wizarding world.

A fixit story with Snape and Draco which miraculously avoids character bashing Dumbledore, Sirius, or Ron. But more importantly, an all around lovely story which I will happily dive into again and again.
