You came home that night, peeled off your shoes and hung your coat with a sigh. It had been a hard day, even harder with radio silence from your girlfriend. You knew how she was like, treated every day like another. Valentine's Day shouldn't be any different but having her on your arm made it feel like it should be.
You walked to the bedroom, smelling a strong scent of cinnamon and suddenly the fear of leaving a candle on struck you. You bust your door open only to find your girlfriend standing there with flowers, chocolates and flowers scattered around her. Soft music played in the background as the many candles filled the air. She shuffled on her feet nervously. A big strong terrifying woman, but you still had the power to make her nervous beyond belief.
“I don’t really know how to do this,” she muttered. Then her eyes left the floor, and she finally looked at you with those gorgeous gray eyes. “But I thought you deserved something.”
