Dennis swallowed his response of “Actually, it’s the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn. Also, it smells of you. Also, I like that.” and simply nodded in silent agreement. He was concerned that opening his mouth to protest would just end in him begging Robby to kiss him, right here, right now, while his large, warm hands ran up Dennis’ bare skin under the hoodie. Robby’s hoodie. The thought made him lightheaded.

Summary
When I made the plan for Playing With The Boys, I didn't anticipate how MUCH of Damien and Huxley's relationship I wanted to write about.
The story needed to fit the layout of the song, with each chapter having the title of a line from it. Some stuff I just couldn't work in to fit such a tight regime, so they were "cut" so to speak.
Enjoy these out of order, random as fuck oneshots for our - or at least MY - fave character x character couple in the Redactedverse
Featuring maybe some other couple oneshots as well, eg, Gavin and Freelancer, etc, who knows, I haven't gotten that far ahead in my outtakes list yet

After Robby rides off on his sabbatical, Whitaker is doing his best to hide his struggles adjusting to the loss of their messy not-a-relationship. Starting the kinkiest relationship of his life with Park the Shark, was NOT part of the plan.
excerpt:"Up." He orders, and Dennis complying means he ends almost flush against Park's chest.
And really there are a lot worse places to be.
For a second Park just stares down at him, watching his Adam's apple bob as he swallows. Then one of his massive hands comes up and wraps itself just above the spot. Not choking, not squeezing, but binding in a way that has Dennis's whole body grow still.
"Nothing happens until you eat."
The hand loosens and slips slowly away and Dennis is mortified when he nearly stumbles to chase it.
This is bad. This is very very bad.

Summary
Dennis Whitaker is almost done with his residency at PTMC. He’s matched, he’s on nights with Dr. Abbot, and he’s finally—supposedly—over his crush on Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch.
Then Robby and Abbot get punished, shifts are swapped, and suddenly Dennis is back to work under his former mentor.
Old feelings don’t stay buried for long. Especially when it turns out Robby isn’t nearly as unaffected as Dennis thought...
------------ROBBY POV------------
Because that’s how Robby feels. Like Whitaker’s about to take his king.
Fuck, take his bishop, he thinks, glancing in those blue eyes. My queen, my knights, all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, because nothing could put him back together again.
------------DENNIS POV------------
Dennis might get reprimanded afterwards, but for now Robby knew when to pick his battles. So, Dennis ignores the small shiver traveling over his back at hearing those words and concentrates instead.
“I’ll assist,” Robby says quietly, already reaching for the light. “Tell me what you need.”
Dennis exhales, just a fraction. You, I just need you. “Retract. Steady.”

“Who the fuck did this?” Jack roared, his voice cracking like a whip through the ER.
Nurses froze. A tech stopped mid-step. Even Dana, fearless on her worst days, halted in her tracks.
Trinity stumbled under Dennis’s weight, panic flooding her features. “Fuck—Dr. Abbot…” she breathed.
Jack didn’t wait.
He closed the distance in two strides and grabbed Dennis, hands sliding to both sides of the kid’s waist, hauling him off Trinity and straight into his chest. Dennis sagged instantly, collapsing against Jack like his bones had given up.
Jack’s jaw clenched so tight the muscle jumped. His eyes were pure, murderous fire.
Or where student doctor Dennis Whitaker loses a 6 year old patients and comes back to the Er bloody and supported by Trinity Santos. His two attendings who have been trying to get the student into their bed for weeks now, dont really take it well.
