The worst things about reliving June 1st, 2030, over and over again are:
- Renjun has no idea why this is happening. He graduated as valedictorian from Seoul National University and was the youngest researcher to be invited to work at South Korea’s first underwater research facility— but he can’t figure this strange new situation out. No matter what Renjun does throughout the day, he always goes to bed and wakes up again on the exact same morning.
- Renjun loves his job, but there are only so many times you can study the same specimens and write up the same reports. After a while, there isn’t anything new to discover or look forward to. Donghyuck’s jokes aren’t half as funny after hearing them so many times. Nothing Renjun does is meaningful when everything resets at the end of the day.
- Na Jaemin transfers to the facility on June 1st, 2030. He’s unreasonably good-looking, instantly wins over the other researchers with his extensive knowledge of sea turtle habitats, and is totally Renjun’s type. He’s also Renjun’s ex.
