    The na-Baron received a frown and an imperiously arched eyebrow from his husband. "To see one, I said. Not to kill it."

    "Is that all? Then what's the issue?" Now Feyd-Rautha's attention returned to Liet. "There are plenty of sandworms in the desert. Those sandcrawlers certainly spend enough time avoiding them. My husband wishes to see one."

    After patrol, Bruce catches sight of the new scars on Khoa's body after the years they spent apart. It unravels a lot of feelings he had been ignoring for decades.

     

    Bruce traced the aforementioned cut with the tip of his fingers. Khoa tracked the movement with his eyes but didn’t move away. Under his fingers, Bruce felt the minute way Khoa leaned into his touch.
    It overwhelmed him—this trust Khoa gave to no one but him, this ease to touch and take from Khoa when closeness had never been anything but difficult for the two of them with anyone else.
