Summary
It is in the nature of all living things to cling to their life. An injured animal will still try to walk. A hungry predator will kill whatever is closest to survive. A grieving man will wish he could still hold those he loved in his arms.
For most, living is what existence is all about. For a ghost, it has to be about something else.
The Captain’s world has been drastically changed, something he really does not like. He has to navigate new dynamics, and new routines. When he discovers a nearly dead young man in a field, he invites yet more changes.
These ones, though, he might enjoy.
