    Summary

“A simple rejection was about what Kokichi expected. Kiibo would sigh and tell him he didn’t feel the same way, potentially even that he wasn’t capable of feeling the same way. Kokichi would shrug it off and leave Kiibo to wonder if he had even been being serious in the first place.

What Kokichi didn’t expect was for Kiibo’s hands to fly up to his chest- and push him away with all of his force. There was a stern look on his face, far past the typical mild irritation he often showed Kokichi. No, he was angry. His face that had once been flushed a pretty pink with embarrassment was now red with fury. “I am sick and tired of you treating me like this.””

Kokichi confesses his honest feelings to Kiibo, but it doesn’t go exactly as he had planned. Kiibo doesn’t believe him in the slightest and now Kokichi must remedy the situation with one small problem- it’s incredibly embarrassing and Kokichi doesn’t do embarrassed.

"What have you even been thinking about, locked-up in there for one month straight?"

Nagito shifted under the covers. "Do you know René Descartes?"

“I guess.” Hajime furrowed his brows. “Cogito ergo sum.

“Yes, cogito ergo sum.” Nagito echoed, “It’s a philosophical concept he reached by locking himself up in a room away from all distractions from society. Traditions, customs, obscurantism. His goal was to start from zero. Rebuild his whole philosophy from what he knew to be real. That’s where his first conclusion came from. I think therefore I am.”

“So... you’re changing your philosophy, then? What’s your new take on hope and despair?”

“I don’t know, Hinata-kun...” Nagito smothered himself with his own pillow. “So far, I’ve just been sleeping.”

After the Neo World Program, Nagito Komaeda pretends to be a philosopher by drowning in guilt and painkillers and locking himself up in a room until he figures out how he can make everyone forget about his miserable existence. Unfortunately for him, Hajime Hinata doesn't mind playing philosopher with him and clearly plans on doing something about his state.

    Summary

Hajime loved being protected by the Lord, loved the peace of being guided through his life, loved the meaning, sense of belonging, this gave him.
He understood the basic principles; Jesus Christ is his saviour, be kind, be forgiving, and don’t have sexual relations with men.

    Easy enough.
