Lily doesn’t say anything for a second or two, just stands in the middle of the room, her face blank. Haewon is about to apologize profusely but Lily takes a step forward, and another and another until she’s lying down in Haewon’s bed, right next to her, the blanket pulled up to her waist.

“I’m going to hold your hand when I say this,” Euijoo starts, because Taki did have a brief 2-day phase where he wouldn’t stop watching the dogs outside their classroom and trying to bark at them. Now she understands why that phase ended so quickly when kids usually took longer to grow out of particular funny habits. Kei sighs, a little fond, but with the exasperation of an older sister.
“Would it be considered workplace indecency if you did?” Kei asks. Euijoo’s heart stutters, and she has to catch herself.
“Possibly, so let’s not risk it,” Euijoo hums in fake contemplation, and Kei laughs, good-naturedly.

Euijoo doesn’t really know much when it comes to grief, not the kind that cracks your life open, at least. Is grief a feeling, or is it something that settles quietly beside you, like an uninvited guest who learns the shape of your home and refuses to leave? And perhaps that is why Euijoo doesn’t know what to do when it comes in the form of someone closing the door of your home without a single word of farewell.

i’m not gay but i always thought i was an ally yknow cuz i have gay friends like you you’re gay and i never had a problem but i think i have perhaps developed homophobia??? sungho is gay and i was chill w it but seeing him with other guys is making me sick plz help me i’m all awkward w him now too idk what to do now that i’m suddenly homophobic.
