Summary
Dr. Kiramman steers her through the chaos and plants her in a chair. Does something to her arm that hurts like fuck, then drapes her in bags of ice and wraps her in a sling. Blinds her with a pen light—“Called it,” she mumbles when he confirms she’s concussed—and presses two pills and a warm mug into her hand. It smells herbaceous. Familiar.
“I brought the good stuff from home,” Dr. Kiramman confesses, and it takes her a moment to understand he means tea. “Extra honey for you. I know you haven’t acquired the taste.”
He’s right in that she only actually drank it once, the first time it was offered—the afternoon they spoke to the Council, several lifetimes ago. But she tasted it just this morning in Caitlyn’s mouth, grassy and sweet. So she pops the pills and takes a sip. Tries not to think about whether that terrified kiss over breakfast was their last. “I want to see her.”
After the war, Vi and Cait recover, and rebuild.

Summary
Javadi pauses for a whole minute, when Santos opens the door. She didn’t know what to expect otherwise, but Santos stands inside her apartment wearing the most typical lesbian outfit ever.
Looking at Javadi’s startled expression, she crosses her legs and leans against the doorway. It’s their day off, it’s the perfect opportunity to tease Javadi.
When Santos rests her elbow against the doorframe, Javadi’s eyes immediately follow the stretch of the black tank top, under which she can see the edge of her boxers peeking. Yeah, that’s definitely the most typical lesbian outfit ever. Except Trinity Santos is the one wearing it, and Javadi has come here, hoping to kick her ass for good.
The awkward silence only fuels Trinity’s little sarcastic ego, and she grins playfully. There’s no way she isn’t going to use this situation to embarrass Victoria.
“You ringed the doorbell, Crash?”

Summary
Whitaker shrugs sort of helplessly and sucks in a big gulp of air like he can’t get the words out fast enough. “Normally when she gets upset, she just does everything faster and louder until she burns off whatever it is. But this time she’s—something’s really wrong.”
“And you're telling me because…?” Garcia wants to know, wants to hear him say it.
“You spend the most time with her,” he reasons. “And I know you’re not—y’know—exchanging life stories,” Whitaker acknowledges awkwardly, “but I thought you might… like, maybe she’s told you something, or—?”
“She hasn’t,” Garcia interrupts, crossing her arms and setting her posture. “We’re just sleeping together. Your roommate’s nervous breakdown, your problem.”
Now Whitaker looks properly pissed, which Garcia didn’t even know his little cherub face was capable of.

Summary
Vi rolled her eyes slightly, shrugging and still refusing to meet her sister’s gaze. “Right. So you find me a date that doesn’t know what I look like, I go out with her looking… less hot, and then if she sticks around that proves she likes me for my great personality.”
With a slightly screwed up expression that meant she was about to argue back, Caitlyn sat back in her seat and crossed her arms again, giving a little shrug.
“Fine. I’ll give it a shot. You set me up with a woman who doesn’t know who I am, and I’ll give it a fair try. See if my horrid personality doesn’t scare her away.”
Believing they keep attracting shallow dates, Vi and Caitlyn separately agree to go ‘undercover’ for their next one, hiding parts of themselves. When they’re unknowingly set up with each other, they both struggle between wanting to being authentic and wanting to stubbornly prove a point, as they’re forced to rely on their personalities to make the relationship work.
