Summary
The knock was rough and impatient; the annoyance behind it apparent. Dazai knew that type of knock could only come from one person, whose anger was as familiar to him as his own flesh and blood. He let out a series of frustrated curses to himself. His breath came out in sharp huffs as he saturated a bath towel with hydrogen peroxide and scrubbed at the dried blood. Chuuya would be furious at the unsightly state of his bathroom.

Summary
“She won’t stop crying.”
It’s Suguru’s first time hearing the rich, warm timbre of Gojō Satoru’s voice in almost a decade. There’s a huskiness to his voice now, a rasp that wasn’t there when they were teenagers terrorizing their teachers and classmates together, a depth that makes Suguru’s pathetic heart skip a beat.
When he was in the driveway, clutching the steering wheel like a lifesaver barely keeping him afloat, Suguru thought himself prepared for this moment. Thought he could handle seeing his former best friend. Thought he was over his what-if, his what-could-have-been, his almost forever.
All it takes is one look at the baby fussing in Satoru’s arms to prove him wrong.
After eight years apart, Satoru and Suguru finally find their way back to each other, but is the time that has passed and the secret between them too great to overcome?

Summary
“Stop tiptoeing around me.” Satoru’s voice was more of a plea than an order.
Suguru still tensed up at the words. “Well now you’re the one not making that easy.” He mumbled under his breath, making a visible effort to keep his eyes glued to Satoru’s face, trying to prove a point.
“Why?” Satoru asked forcefully. “Why is it not easy?”
Suguru searched Satoru’s face with that contained distress that was oh so him. “Because you’re just- ” He blurted out before catching himself. “You’re just not easy.”
or Satoru knows nothing of kindness, but Suguru knows everything about it. Through punches and kicks, they learn to love each other.

Summary
His right arm is bent awkwardly in front of himself, trapped against something warm. The left is jammed to one side, but he can wiggle it a bit. With every attempt at movement, Suguru winces as he’s prodded painfully in the ribs or the jaw or the belly.
“Suguru?”
His voice is so close it makes Suguru’s heart jump to the base of his throat. Eight-ish years of no contact and now he can hear the slight wheeze of Satoru’s breath and the soft, minute sounds of his wet tongue and lips. The alpha’s scent permeates the air, thick and almost cloyingly strong, the only kind of sweetness Suguru’s ever really craved.
It’s too much like old times.
After they each arrive at the same cemetery, hunting the same cursed spirit, ex-best friends Suguru and Satoru quickly find themselves trapped together in its domain.

Summary
Proper scenting is often stigmatically reserved only for those who bear the most intimacy with each other. Close friends, sometimes family, and definitely lovers.
They are none of those things. Not friends, never family, and certainly the farthest from lovers.
...
They're different than they used to be. Scenting, once, was a second thought, an exchange unnegotiated. Now, all it does is make Kaveh spiral.

Summary
Commoners were, by all means, considered filthy. Even the rich. No amount of begging, money, praying, would allow one to touch Tighnari.
It would be like touching a priceless relic from ancient ruins.
“You can't touch the Honoured One.” A priest yanked the lady back, standing between her and Tighnari. “Don’t forget yourself, lest we throw you back out into the snow.”
Tighnari shook off the shock of being touched. “It's alright.” He decided. He knew he would have to bathe again. “This poor soul could not contain her joy. We should not punish her for that.” He told the priest. But he felt weirdly violated.
The priest turned around, clearly not agreeing and wanting to protest. But no one could argue with the Honoured One.
Tighnari looked at the priest curiously. He had seen this one before. A diligent priest, with a striking look. White hair, red eyes. A tan, too. Was Tighnari supposed to know his name? Maybe Kaveh knew. He placed a gentle hand on the priest's arm.
“Thank you.”
The priest seemed a little lost for words from the touch and clear gratitude of the Honoured One. He then bowed deeply.
....
Where Cyno would join his beloved god in everything, even death.
