Your father, Touichirou, he informed us of some concerning information during a recent interrogation," he explained, but shou could tell he was choosing his words carefully. "He mentioned the possibility of some… misconduct towards you."

It wasn't that the facility never housed them, it saw a good deal through its doors, actually, but Wolfwood was never called in to deal with them. He was the one they contacted when there were alphas in need of assessment. When they called him, they wanted someone who would push buttons. Someone insufferable, someone with no respect for boundaries, someone to test, again and again, another alpha's control, until there could be no doubt that they'd overcome their aggression issues and could be safely reintegrated into society.
And if they snapped... well, Wolfwood could take it, he healed quick, and they always paid him extra for damages.

Summary

The world is a lot more complicated without a villain to defeat. Everyone wants Shou to move on, but it's not easy to replace the few people he used to trust with an estranged mother and new friends who have no idea where he came from.
Meanwhile, there’s no shortage of criminals trying to pick up where Claw left off. Between them and a government division set on erasing every esper they find undesirable, has anything even improved?
Perhaps change is more slow and grueling than Shou ever imagined, but everything he did and everything he endured cannot have been for nothing.

This couldn’t be happening to him. He was losing control of the situation, and it was only now that Reigen realized he couldn’t remember the last time a client had laid their hands on him.
Distantly, in the back of his mind, he knew the reason.
It was all because of Mob, his sweet and kind disciple, who always intervened when Reigen was being threatened. Stepping between anyone or anything, Mob deemed a threat to Reigen.
Reigen had failed to treasure the protection Mob had offered him so selflessly—too caught up in his own schemes or cons to appreciate everything Mob did for him.
He really had taken advantage of Mob’s kindness, hadn’t he?
With Mob chased off by his lies, Reigen stood no chance against the monster he found at his doorstep.
Or in which an old client of Reigen’s gets revenge during the separation arc.
