“There we go.” Scar panted, crouching down next to Cuteguy’s crumpled form. “I’ve been chasing you for ages! To be honest, I didn’t think I’d catch you, normally you’re a lot faster than that. Are you okay?”
Cuteguy didn’t move.
“Uhh…Cuteguy?” Scar nudged her lightly with his fist. “Is this a trick? Because I’ll have you know I am not falling for it.”
Cuteguy still didn’t move.
“Hello?” Scar scooted around to the front of him, where his face was planted into the sidewalk. “It wasn’t that bad of a fall, was it?”
Then Cuteguy…chirped. Like a bird. That was the best way to describe the sound muffled by the pavement. Scar blinked in surprise, then hesitantly reached out and lifted the vigilante’s chin so that he could see her face.

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

“Woah,” an unknown voice chimed, echoing through the rubble. A man smiled down at him, his expression bordering somewhere between surprised and amused. “You’ve caused quite a bit of chaos here, haven’t you?”

Summary
Stars don't usually fall, and when they do, they don't bleed. Scar didn't expect the sky to split open that night. He didn't expect to find something winged and wrong, feathered in places no person should be, with too many eyes blinking where none should exist. He definitely didn't expect to bring it home.
(Or, Scar finds an eldritch bird abomination in the woods and brings him home. What could possibly go wrong?)

Things were getting... weird on the Hermitcraft server again. Though Mumbo wasn't sure he could say they were bad weird. Just weird.
Several hermits had accidently gotten hurt pretty badly lately and found themselves safely tucked away before anything could happen to them after passing out.
Which was nice. Weird, but nice. That and maybe a little concerning the first few times.

“I don’t know,” Kokichi pretends to think it over, tapping a finger against his lips, “Maybe you’re plotting a crime against me right now.” Kokichi’s eyes narrow, and his gaze turns sly, “Maybe you’re trying to steal my heart!”
Shuichi doesn’t understand it. These little pokes and prods in the direction of flirting. He knows he isn’t the only one reaching out. He’s watched Kokichi’s cheeks go pink and his head duck to hide it. The nicknames and brash declarations of love sound a little more honest sometimes, tinged with quiet affection. On Shuichi’s more generous days, he lets himself admit that the signs point to Kokichi wanting to reach out in the same way that Shuichi does.
And yet, Kokichi pulls away. It’s frustrating.
“And if I am?” It comes tumbling out of his mouth before Shuichi thinks better of it.
Kokichi’s eyes widen, and his face goes carefully blank. The muscle in his jaw jumps when he clenches his teeth, and he swallows.
“I’d say,” he murmurs, violet eyes flashing with something sharp and bright, “That you have to catch me first, Mr. Detective.”
Then he’s gone.

All that’s left is to play-act at normalcy, and he wasn’t even good at that when he still felt human. He might as well be a caricature of himself.

He would lay awake until two or three in the morning, staring at the window, chest heavy with the absolute certain knowledge that somebody was about to break in and kill him and his grandmother. He had tried to warn her—of course he had tried to warn her—but she didn’t listen. So he would sit, tears in his eyes and stuffed rabbit clutched to his chest, waiting for the moment when somebody broke in with a knife.
