Aka. Qifrey’s Guide to fake-marrying your best friend long enough to convince the government not to take your children.
After the Knights Moralis arrive on the atelier’s doorstep to inform Qifrey of the new law preventing unmated omegas from taking on apprentices, Qifrey accidentally blurts out that Olruggio is his alpha. Now, he has less than two weeks to play a convincing enough couple with his Watchful Eye that the Knights Moralis allow the girls to stay, all while hiding his very real feelings for the man he’s pretending to date.
Oh, and he forgot to run any of this by Olruggio first.

Summary
It is a deeply instinctual breed of terror, born in that yawning chasm between what her mind has forgotten, and what her body knows. The pain in her bones, the ache in her arms— those things are familiar. Like she's felt them before. But everything else… no, there is nothing else.
Faster than she can blink, the idle thought that something is missing quickly becomes the sickening realization that something is wrong. The girl chokes on her next breath as she lurches upright, ears pinned back against her head. The blankets fall away. Summary
The itch had to be unbearable by now.
Qifrey could feel his own feathers ruffling in discomfort just looking at her. He’d been watching her from the corner of his eye for over an hour now, monitoring her studies at the kitchen table while his hands ran through the familiar motions of preparing dinner.
Coco herself seemed to have been steadfastly ignoring the issue for weeks at this point, at least in front of everyone else. But Qifrey wasn’t sure how much longer that could last. Wasn’t sure how much longer he could last without stepping in and forcing the issue. Despite the fact that she was clearly working over what few spots she could reach on her own, there was just no getting around the fact that she couldn’t get to the places that required the most attention without help.
Coco’s wings desperately needed a proper preening.

Qifrey realizes Coco is not taking proper care of her wings, and gets an unpleasant revelation when he decides to step in.OR OR

Summary
Coco, having suddenly entered into a world that's terribly different from what she knows, comes to the conclusion her roommate isn't quite fond of her. The tall, dark-haired witch, Olruggio, doesn't seem particularly happy to have her around, either. Having lost her mom, the only pack she’d ever had, she has to find a place for herself in the already established pack in the atelier.
And what goes wrong when she believes she doesn't have a place there.
Exploring her initial dynamics with Agott and Olruggio— I love them both, but it’s not a stretch to say their first interactions with Coco wouldn't inspire some uncertainty and dampen her self-confidence. Threatening to turn a twelve-year-old into the witch police wouldn't exactly make her feel secure in her home, I’d think.
