   Summary

   Growing up in the Capitol, Effie always knew things weren’t as perfect as they might seem. You have to pretend, that’s what life is.

   As she gets older, she realizes: just how much is all pretend? Will she be able to resist brainwashing as she gets older, or is that all pretending is?
