    Summary

At the far edge of the cemetery, beneath a maple shedding red leaves like old blood, the earth above William Byers shifted.
Six feet below, inside a coffin lined in white satin, Will Byers lay with his hands folded over his stomach.
    No worms.
    No rot.
No sunken cheeks or ruined skin.
The dress Joyce had chosen with shaking hands, the dress he had asked for before the end, covered him in layers of white. Long sleeves. A fitted bodice. A skirt that pooled around his legs like fog. Gothic and delicate, almost bridal, except no one had come to a church for him.
Only a hole in the ground.
    Only rain.
Only Mike Wheeler carrying him until his knees gave out.
    Will’s chest rose.
The sound did not belong in a coffin.

OR- what happens when Will Byers powers resurrect him on the anniversary of being killed by vecna? what happens when the first person he goes to after waking is Mike Wheeler?

    Summary

Will swallows and raises the rifle, praying to whatever is listening that the click of the flashlight isn’t as loud as he thinks. There’s definitely metal, reflection blinding him temporarily. He strains to see past the bright gleam in the chipped plates, but can only make out a mop of black hair, down to the shoulders at least. Will squints, body subconsciously leaning in closer, then jumps back, rifle aimed to its center of mass as the creature — humanoid, tall, metallic — rises to its full height.

    Then disjointedly stumbles, into Will.

Will’s scream is caught in his throat when he hears a gasped, “William…” through the rushing of wind, and if he were anyone but Will Byers, he might not have caught the whisper of the voice that haunts him.

    “Mike?!”

    or

A thunderstorm unceremoniously dumps a paladin on Will Byers's front lawn. The problem? He's wearing Will's best friend's face.

    Summary

Three unconnected stories, all with the same intro and shared epilogue, where the universe is sick of Mike and Will dancing around each other and pulls some supernatural bullshit to force them to sort it out.

    Summary

"Kneel.", Will repeats, sounding sterner than he means to.

Mere seconds later, Mike's brown eyes align with Will's.

He doesn't know what's worse. Mike immediately abiding to his command or the fact that he still barely hovers over Mike despite the latter being on his knees.

Will ignores the fluttering in his stomach.

"I think you begin um-" He hesitates. "You say 'Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned.'"

    Will hears Mike swallow.

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned.", he whispers.

Will thinks he might faint. He grips the chair, trying to steady himself before he continues to speak.

"Right." He clears his throat. "Now...tell me what's on your mind."

Mike is silent for a while.

"I don't think I've ever been in love with El.", he suddenly blurts out.

    "What?"

    -

It is early August 1986. Will and Mike are coerced into renovating an old abandoned church on the edge of town. As the two boys grapple with faith, guilt, and punishment, they wonder whether they will ever be able to forgive each other's sins.

    Summary

He looks up, alarmed. There is a man, gold earrings jutting through pointed ears, a sloped nose, perfect lips, mole above his mouth; tanned and glowing, glowing, glowy with sunlight, and… hotness. Glowing with hotness. Destroying Mike with his hotness.

Hitting him with three hundred points of radiant damage (which would kill him and forfeit any death saves, so, instant death) and, let’s say, another three hundred points of attraction damage.

Paladin Mike Wheeler gets his wisdom teeth out, forgets he's married to Will, and tries to flirt all over again.
