“We can start with the new patient in room 18, this is a sad one. This is Medical Romeo, his real name is Harry Potter. Registration can’t update the system because we couldn’t find any official identification on him, we only know his name from his gym records. He’s a 44 year old male.” Liz began.
“Dang, he’s young,” Sarah commented as she wrote down the patient’s real name.
“I know, he is. Anyway, he came in today, 10/31. He was at the gym this morning and witnesses saw him collapse while weight lifting. He had a sudden worst headache of his life, weakness, and vomiting. EMS brought him in, he was intubated on the way for airway protection. On arrival to the ED, his left pupil was non-reactive and he was not following commands. CT Head showed a massive left Intracranial Hemorrhage with a 12 millimeter left-to-right midline shift and enlarged ventricles,” Liz reported.
