Summary
Given how much time Oscar Piastri spends beneath an incredibly popular club, one would be surprised to find out how much he hated them.
He didn’t like the lights, the music you couldn’t really decipher that was loud enough to deafen the elderly or young babies (house music was different, Logan disagreed but Oscar was right), the stench of sweat, alcohol, weed, cigarettes, vapes… he could probably go on.
Moral of the story, he didn’t like clubs very much.
That was, until he saw Lando dancing on stage, of course. He moved his body to the music with such grace and fluidity Oscar could only dream to have.
It was captivating.

“Where are you going?” Oscar asked, the words quieter now. But not softer. Not yet.
“Shower,” Lando said without looking back. “Or somewhere you don’t have to look at me. Whichever works for you.”

Summary
Lando could handle losing the race. The way he could still hear the radio call in his mind. The way the crash replayed, and the silence that followed.
What he couldn’t handle was the way Oscar didn’t look at him after. Not even a glance. Not an ounce of acknowledgment.
However, a knock on the motorhome door made Lando realize that he might not have ruined everything. Not completely, anyway.

Summary
It’s the profound tragedy of Lando’s life, he thinks, to realise he’s in love with his teammate – just as Oscar Piastri makes a habit of standing one step higher on the podium, forcing Lando to crane his neck to look at him.
Oscar hates watching the light fade from Lando’s eyes with every victory he takes from him. He accepted the inconvenient truth long ago: he loves Lando. But he loves winning more.
