Summary
Tommy heaves at Wilbur’s shoulders until he gets the teen propped against the filthy plaster wall. “Wake up,” he tries again.
With a lack of anything else to do, Tommy fans through the four pages of the flyer. The last page is generic as can be: In case of emergency, call 999! And now Tommy feels even worse, because that’s the last thing he can do. Second to last. Calling Phil would probably be worse than ending up in police custody.

What had been an illegal, middle-of-the-night joyride has taken a horrible turn, and Tommy is left to try to deal with the situation on his own when his older brother Wilbur won't wake up.

Summary
Tommy wasn’t ashamed of the state of his house. No, that’s not how big men feel about their living spaces. He was proud of the way his house was. It was better than normal, it was fine, Wilbur was just making a big deal out of nothing. Really, he was just looking at his feet because his shoes were extra cool. He wasn’t upset with himself, or anything like that. It was fine, really.
Or, Tommy and Wilbur do laundry together.

He can’t help it. All he can do is look at Wilbur and wonder who is talking to him: his best friend and co-star, or Wilbur’s character.
Tommy, nauseatingly, cannot tell the difference.'
