The elephant in the room the reason Phoenix decided to push past his tangled feelings and the uncomfortable ball of grief that seemed to linger in his body these days whenever he thought of Kristoph.
Seven years is a long time. And if Phoenix Wright is a weak man with a weak heart, Kristoph Gavin is as human as any other. Beautiful, prideful, hypocritical man.
All it took to get Kristoph and Phoenix on the same page was an Execution.

After defeating Shroud, life at SDN continued as normal as it could for Robert. The Z-Team made great strides each day on becoming a real, formidable team of superheroes. Robert occasionally took the Mecha Man suit out on missions and continued his work as a dispatcher. Beef started a new healthy dog food at the recommendation of his vet. Robert ordered some more furniture for his apartment. Everything was looking up. Robert could lock all of his feelings in a little box and bury it deep inside of him. It was fine.
He just didn’t know it would grow flowers.
