There is silence in the room. Tamamo stares her down, body subtly, very subtly wobbling, fixated eyes guarded but open. Those eyes are so, so dark.
“Would you like me,” Raikou sets down her teacup, “to prove I can handle it?” The air is heavy. She pushes out of her seat, and steps towards Tamamo Cat. “To prove I can handle you?”
Tamamo Cat lets out a covetous whine.
Raikou pauses before entering her space, waiting for a signal. She feels a tension in her, as the moment stretches. She realizes that, in fact, she wants this quite badly.
Tamamo nods.
