To them, a man’s life would be infinitely more important than that of a woman’s.
If that was the case, how could Wangji dare to live as anything other than a man? Peace was nothing but a pipe dream that only citizens of distant lands could achieve. The destiny of a woman in this country was to be nothing more than an empty husk used for the profit and pleasure of men. The destiny of a man, however?
