When the Hydro Sovereign rained down its judgment upon them, Furina tasted the tears of the Dragon and his somber message amidst the raindrops.
'I love you, Furina. Please live happily and freely in this world you saved.'
A pity it was, on the day that Fontaine was saved, Lady Furina was crying hoarsely as she cradled Monsieur Neuvillette in her arms.
Neuvillette who couldn’t open his eyes to meet her gaze under the bluest of skies.
(Or, Furina who never knew the true meaning of sacrifice until Neuvillette paid the price for her deception to Celestia.)
