Summary
Paul had not looked in Feyd's direction since the start of the duel, doing his best to suppress the sensations coming from Feyd’s side of the bond as he fought. He had been vaguely aware of Feyd tamping down his own reactions, making a concerted effort not to distract Paul during such a high-stakes event, but as soon as Paul sought Feyd out both visually and mentally, their connection was flooded with such intense heat that Paul swayed where he stood.
“Feyd,” he said faintly, taking one wobbling step in his direction before Feyd reached him first and wrapped his arms around Paul’s waist.
“Paul.” Feyd was nearly purring in his ear. “If you don’t get us alone right now, I’m going to fuck you until you scream in front of all these people, and you won’t even try to stop me.”

Frank realizes a lot of things during his time in rehab, at a nice facility an hour outside of Pittsburgh with cushy rooms and a nice view of the Monongahela. They have flat screens in the communal areas that he would watch Penguins games on, and actually decent meals that you’d never get from the PTMC cafeteria. Great place to stare out of a window and have some revelations.
He realizes that Robby is definitely going to fuck Whitaker.

“Don’t,” Frank says, voice sharper than Robby’s heard it all night. Sharper than he’s heard it in ten months, the sharpest it’s been since Frank had to dull the blade of it and turn it inwards to save his own hide. It’s a bark more than a spoken word, but Frank’s not a dog.
Dogs don’t talk, Robby thinks. Dogs don’t talk, and dogs don’t have wives.
It’s more fucked, Robby knows, that it’s the word wife rotating around in his skull and not her name. He knows her. He likes her, for god’s sake. He’s had holiday dinners at her table and shared fond eye-rolls across the appropriately-themed tablecloth at ridiculous things Frank’s said, that same we’re-in-this-together exasperation, and now — now Robby can’t even give her the dignity of thinking her name with his fingers in her husband’s mouth.

His hands freeze in the air like he’s just been caught at the scene of his crime.
What would his crime even be? Leaning back and watching Langdon reach for the box on the highest shelf instead of offering to help?
Or would it be for allowing Langdon to act inappropriately with his attending at work? Maybe for ogling Langdon’s body as he stretches up, the hem of his scrubs revealing the thin line of toned skin.

He leaned closer, breath sweet with the milk he’d drank before coming to Paul’s room. “You are unavoidable, aren’t you?”
Paul went limp. His body pulsed. Everything inside him lit and liquified, scorching. “Does that frighten you?”

The first time Paul Atreides ever lays eyes on Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, it is through a looking glass across a gladiator arena vast enough to swallow hundreds of thousands. There are countless faces between them, all screaming mouths and chanting bodies, while those strange ink-blot fireworks split across the bright, colourless sky. It is a whole world of noise and distance, but Feyd-Rautha’s eyes still find his.
They have never met. Paul has never seen him before in his life.
And yet, there is something unnervingly familiar about him in a way that Paul cannot explain. It is a feeling that reaches beneath thought and reason, settles deep into his bones, and leaves him utterly still.
But how can that be?
OR, what if Paul and Feyd had met earlier, became obsessed with each other, and then had to learn the hard way that the world is really complicated, and love might not be enough.
Canon divergent. Starts off light, but gets more complex, plot-heavy, psychological and darker. Some serious knives in this (eventually).

The Atreides—a family with a long and storied name but, in recent years, diminishing wealth, due in part to the patriarch's recent health issues. They'd already cut a great deal of their expenses by the time Feyd proposed, and Paul had been considering outright selling the horse. Money was tight, and full board at a stable cost a couple thousand a month.
"I'll take care of that," Feyd told him. "I'll take care of everything."
He has. Leto's medical bills paid for, Paul's childhood home given some much needed repairs, the horse still living in the lap of luxury.
And in return, Paul is so very, very grateful.
