If they’re like this over the taste of fruit, imagine how they’d handle everything else... All the different flavors and cuisines on Etheirys. Flapjacks, tonkatsu, trapper’s stew, kupo nuts. The sharp, sweet smell of a cookfire in winter. Touch. Grass between his toes, a peeling sunburn, the heaviness of limbs upon waking, sweat dripping down his spine. Sex.
Zhia'a finds the Ea incredibly unsettling. Something about their willful disembodiment makes him need to feel more connected to his own body. Still, he keeps visiting them, and when the strange alien technology of the Omicron allows the Ea to use his body as a map for learning sensations, he finds himself wanting things he doesn't think he really wants.
Featuring my WoL, Zhia'a Bajhiri, with a guest appearance by his childhood friend/occasional co-WoL Clementain Charmant.

Summary
He seems in his element here, as much as he does on the battlefield. His steps are steady and sure, at home in his body. Perhaps in deference to the weather, he has exchanged the layered leather and canvas G’raha usually sees him in for a loose cotton shirt and very short denim shorts. G’raha makes a valiant effort not to stare at Zhia’a’s legs, though ostensibly it would be appropriate for him to do so.
Alone on an otherwise (mostly) deserted island, G'raha and Zhia'a have time to think about their future for perhaps the first time.

Summary
He doubts he will ever forget what he's seen this day. Though he is young, he's no stranger to battle, to strife, to grief. Few who lived through the Calamity can claim to have been untouched by the last-- but grief, to him, has looked like his father's clenched fist and set jaw after Cartenau, like Alisaie's determination to lay their grandfather's spirit to rest with her expeditions into Dalamud's fallen fragments. Clementain's grief had been something else.
Alphinaud reassesses the Warrior of Light, in light of their experiences storming the Vault.

"You should teach me to read those before we get to Erid, so I can be polite." As Grace considered the linework, already picking up on some vague ideas from the shapes in Rocky's carapace, something else occurred to him. "So… I picked 'Rocky' because your outer shell looks like stone."
"And for inspirational story of athlete who defeats human system of poverty to become great champion. Eye of the tiger."
"Retroactively, yeah." Grace bent at the hips, getting to Rocky's 'eye' level. "So what'd you name me?"

Steve loves baseball. He loves it and Sam is nothing if not a good friend, because lately things have no been going their way and Steve has spent a lot of time moping (although no one would call it moping, because what happens is that he goes quiet and still and stops talking about Bucky and how they’ll find him – an occurrence that the more they look, the more that Sam thinks will happen on the opposite end of never) so he bought two tickets to a home game and presented them, and Steve looked at him for a moment and smiled. There’s a lot to be said about Captain America smiling, and the chief among them is that it’s a sight for sore eyes.

Summary
There was nothing wrong with Howling Commandos, not really. It was new and shiny, made only six months before Steve woke up and on the brink of cancellation until it was announced that Captain America was found, at which point ratings skyrocketed. Steve would have heard of the series, except that he was too busy figuring out his phone, handling alien invasions, and battling crippling depression (that he would not admit to anyone, even himself). The result was that 25 episodes later, Howling Commandos was the most popular television shows about the war on the planet, with a loyal following, and Steve was almost totally oblivious.
