Incredibly well-written, and the tension is strung out like a fine thread about to break. This piece courageously delves deep into the realm of Akashi's subconscious and what happens when it becomes destabilized. This is definitely not the kind of fic people would derive happiness while reading. It is, however, the kind of fic you can delve into multiple times, parsing different possibilities from it and gaining different layers of meaning from it. This is not the kind of fic that gives pleasantness as you read it. Instead, quite rarely, this is the kind of fic that makes you think, and pay attention, as you read.

Bookmarker's Notes
This piece is one of those wonderful pieces that parses through and takes the beats of two relatively unexplored characters, finding their core vulnerabilities and ideals, and exposing them through their relationship. It’s a beautiful piece of work — slice of life is one of my favourite genres, and it’s done beautifully here. It may seem an unlikely friendship, but here it’s done in such a way that it reveals intriguing depth about these two characters, with finesse.
