    Summary

Shakily, Mu Qing signed, why do you know sign language?
Seeing him finally respond, Feng Xin’s smile came back full force.
For when I saw you again.
Mu Qing fixed him with the coldest glare he could muster. He didn’t know how to respond to such an idiotic reason, a typical Feng Xin mindless response. Fumbling in his coat pocket he pulled out his phone and hastily opened his notes app, refusing to acknowledge the reality of a Feng Xin knowing sign language.
You spent eight years learning sign language on the off chance we might see each other again?
Feng Xin nodded, as if it were really that simple, his expression open and filled with a familiar warmth that Mu Qing had not realised he’d missed so palpably.

After losing his hearing due to a childhood illness, Mu Qing relocates far away from childhood friends Feng Xin and Xie Lian. Isolating himself in his own silent world, forgetting the world that he left behind, he is forced back into it once more with the reappearance of his friends upon entering university.

    Summary

Mu Qing can feel himself begin to hyperventilate, heart thumping out of his chest. “So you’re telling me my first heat is going to be a month long?!”

“Not exactly. Most of the time, it lasts longer than a month. And it’ll also be significantly more intense than usual, given it’s essentially centuries worth of hormones all at once.”

“Is there no other way?!” He starts fumbling for ideas. “Can I not…can I just skip this heat?”

The Medical Master shrugs. “Well, you can skip it by continuing to suppress your hormones. Then, you’ll get a qi deviation and you’ll die an excruciating death. It’s your choice.”

Mu Qing learns the hard way that his cultivation can cause him to qi deviate, and the only way to get past it is to start experiencing heats like other omegas. Too bad no one's here or willing to help him out!

“Of course,” Mu Qing rolls his eyes. “Tell me, wise General. If I needed to dispose of this definitely real curse, how must I approach it?”

“Isn’t it obvious? Once that cherry has popped, the curse disappears! That’s the only way to get rid of it,” Pei Ming gives him a lecherous look. “And don’t worry, General Xuan Zhen, I know you have many options to choose from, so there’s no need to fret.”

    Mu Qing scoffs, “Ridiculous.”

Or: Mu Qing gets cursed on his birthday. Whenever he touches someone, he can read the minds of others. Surely there's got to be a cure to fix him that definitely doesn't involve losing your virginity, right?

    Summary

Their situation was fucked up. Mu Qing knew it from the beginning when they were inches from striking a punch at each other or lunging in for a kiss. They picked the latter, and since then, they have kept their passion behind closed doors in either one of their palaces.

For a good while, they thought their relationship would last—just the two Southern Gods against the world. But fate had other plans in the form of Jian Lan and her son.

Mu Qing knew Feng Xin was a good person, even though he would instead be paid to say it out loud. He knew Feng Xin would like to take responsibility for his actions, so he chose her and Cuo Cuo.

Mu Qing understood, so he distanced himself from their family, only to be dragged back to be the best man. He was present in the wedding preparations, pretending he cared. He told himself it would be fine to support Feng Xin before his wedding.

But when the big day finally came, he couldn't bring himself to stand by Feng Xin's side as he tied his fate with someone who was not him.

    Summary

What can he say? You spend 800+ years around the same man, constantly in each other's presence, even if it is physical fighting, one gets used to the type of schedule. Mu Qing would never say he “relied” on Feng Xin's presence. Fuck no. Never. He will admit to being used to it, maybe even craving it while away from the other man. He refused to address it mentally, as well as emotionally, what that said about his subconscious feelings for his rival, and why bickering with someone almost exactly like him, brought him comfort, rather than annoyance. That is an issue for the Mu Qing hundreds of years in the future. Granted, he’s been saying that since their youth, but he’s a busy Martial god now! He has worshipers to worry about now! He doesn’t have time to worry about petty feelings that realistically should not even exist!

He blames Feng Xin, if the man wasn’t so nice to look at, fun to argue with….or if his touch didn't make a bolt of electricity shoot through Mu Qing's spine (even if it IS just from them grappling or punching each other) THIS wouldn't be an issue. Curse you Feng Xin. Curse you.

OR: Fu Yao & Nan Feng are both big dummies that don't know nor realize that the other is MQ / FX in disguise lol.
