Wonwoo's summer vacation turns upside down when he finds an injured boy washed up on shore, and decides to rescue him. After all, what the hell is he supposed to do when he learns that said boy, aka Kim Mingyu, is actually a merman that ran away from home?
He doesn't want to spend the summer babysitting the rebellious boy... but perhaps good things often come in unexpected ways.

“You’re so annoying,” Wonwoo childishly said, sticking his tongue out as he turned around, skating backwards while the bright fluorescent lights glittered in ebony orbs.
“Who’s the one running away and refusing to demonstrate their oh-so hard jump?”
“I said I don’t want to fall.”
“You won’t fall,” Mingyu insisted, his arms reaching out and tugging at Wonwoo’s fingertips. “I never see you fall..."

Where one fell but got right back up, the other refused to fall. Where one focused on power and speed, the other cultivated flow and grace. Where one was a hockey player, the other was a figure skater... and though they were seemingly opposites with families that opposed the other, Mingyu and Wonwoo carved out a little world for themselves.

The fact that Beta Jeon Wonwoo and Alpha Kim Mingyu hate each other is no secret. They're often seen at each other's necks, constantly threatening each other to the point that their friends fear if left alone, no one would come out alive.
But their relationship isn't as shallow as one would think. It's twisted and convoluted, laced with secrets and unspoken agreements.

Summary
Wonwoo blinks and tries to understand what was just said to him. He rolls it around in his brain and tries to apply all of his twenty two years of life experience to it and every movie, tv show, and book he's ever read to it as well just to see if it makes more sense.
He really tries.
But it's not working. So, he tilts his head, furrows his eyebrows, and opens his mouth.
"What?"
The man in front of him that is causing all of this internal strife, grins- incredibly sharp canines on full display- and steps even closer.
"I said, I'm very, very hungry and I was wondering if I could have some of your blood."
