Before they were Party Poison and Kobra Kid, they were just Gerard and Mikey, trying to sneak out of Battery City in search of something not better, but bearable. A slow process, one that involves dealing with people Gerard would rather stay well away from, but worth it.
Until Gerard gets sick. Really sick. And his usual contact is looking for something a little extra to make helping him out worth his while.

Astounded, amazed, thankful just to be alive?”
He pushed at Geoff’s hips now, directing him to turn, to face him; to look at him instead of the gored van. Geoff somehow tore his eyes from it, following the command wordlessly. Barely thinking, barely breathing.
